The rocket

The rocket was one of the movies in the festival which was very different in narration techniques. It handled a very serious subject through the eyes of a small toddler. Rocket was a very different movie experience. It opens the basic needs and problems and superstitions of common men. It is a lovely texture of culture and how a boy overcomes the chaos he has to face. So the movie is not only a feel good affair but also of something significant to say.
Kim Mordaunt created this movie as a crowd puller. It showed a part of world which is not seen by most eastern people. The jungles of Laos were a new experience for me.

It has a great story to tell and subtly mixes the comic and dramatic genres. Some moment will leave you smiling and other moments will put you at the edge of your seats. The movie got a very energetic to keep the audience delighted. The director effectively captured the cultural background of the Laos people. It is a compassionate movie for a protagonist. And a must watch movie.
