Lucia

Lucia is a Kannada movie directed by Pawan Kumar and was an excellent psychological thriller. I actually had a prejudiced mind about Kannada movies because the ninety percent of Kannada movies I watched was full of nonsense and stardom, and all those movies doesn’t had a logic. This one was an exceptional one even in the making and in the story line as well. The whole credit deserves to Pawan Kumar because his direction skill and writing skill is the back bone of the movie.  The funding of the movie was from the people through face book and such social media sites he just kept the pride of each contributors very high.
Lucia is a good movie in technical aspects too. The unconventional way of storytelling gave a different fragrance to the movie. This movie does not satisfy the audience who seek for entertainment but it is a very good thriller. The story revolves around the hero Nikki who works in the movie talkies owned by Sankaranna. Nikki is addicted to an illegal tablet named Lucia which not only give sound sleep but also provide dreams feels like real life and one can watch it in episodes. Nikki is also in an affair with a girl works in pizza hut named Swetha. In another track there is a police team along with a high profile detective to solve some illegal drug cases. It seems like the director to be inspired from western or American movies or a remake of English movies.
I personally felt that the movie is too long, the director could have cut down or trim down at least 10 or 15 minutes from the movie to avoid audience losing their patience in the climax. The movie express a great  thought that every common man has a dream to be famous and busy man with a facilitated life and every facilitated people have a dream to lead a common man’s life. It is worth watching the movie Lucia.
